Use of AI in Our Newsroom

Ghana Ntentan uses artificial intelligence as a tool to support — not replace — human journalism. AI assists our team with news aggregation, content summarization, translation between English and Twi, and audio narration generation. However, all editorial decisions, including what to publish, how to frame a story, and which sources to include, are made by human editors.

AI-generated drafts undergo human review before publication. Our editors verify facts, assess the quality and relevance of content, and ensure that the final article meets our editorial standards. We do not publish AI-generated content without human oversight and approval.

Source Protection

We protect the identity of confidential sources who provide information in the public interest. We will not reveal a source's identity without their explicit consent unless compelled by law. Our journalists use secure communication methods when handling sensitive information, and we take reasonable steps to protect source materials from unauthorized access.

Harm Minimization

We recognize that journalism can cause harm, and we take steps to minimize it. We are particularly careful when reporting on:

• Victims of crime, violence, or trauma — we approach with sensitivity and respect their right to privacy.

Ghana Ntentan maintains strict editorial independence from advertisers, sponsors, political parties, and other external interests. Our advertising team operates separately from our editorial team, and commercial relationships never influence what we report or how we report it. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage.
