The Member of Parliament for Akim Oda Constituency, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has pledged to build a computer laboratory for the Presbyterian Cluster of Schools at Akim Oda New Town in honour of his late Personal Assistant, Maxwell Kofi Anti.
Hon. Acquah made the pledge this afternoon during the thanksgiving service held for his late aide.
According to the MP, the gesture is to immortalize Mr. Anti, who was a Presbyterian, and to fulfill one of his much-cherished dreams.
He noted that three years ago, he built a 24-unit computer laboratory at St. Luke School at Akyem Oda New Town, which is managed by the Catholics, and his late PA had wished for a similar facility for the Presbyterian schools.
The Chairperson of the West Akyem Presbytery, Rev. Charles Baah Ankrah, who was present at the service, promised to secure a plot of land in the shortest possible time to enable the laboratory to be built and commissioned during the first anniversary celebration of Kofi Anti's demise.
Hon. Acquah humbly requested that the edifice, when completed, be named after Maxwell Kofi Anti in recognition of his dedicated service to the people of Akyem Oda and humanity in general.
