Akuapem South MP Joins Education Minister on Surprise WASSCE Monitoring Visit to Aburi Girls, Adonten SHS

Member of Parliament for Akuapem South, Hon. Lawrencia Dziwornu, has reaffirmed her commitment to improving educational outcomes following a surprise monitoring visit to two senior high schools writing the 2026 WASSCE.
Hon. Dziwornu on Wednesday accompanied Education Minister Hon. Haruna Iddrisu and Ghana Education Service officials to Aburi Girls’ Senior High School and Adonten Senior High School to assess the conduct of the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examinations.
“Yesterday, I had the privilege of accompanying the Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu and other GES officials on a surprise visit to Aburi Girls’ Senior High School and Adonten Senior High School to monitor the ongoing 2026 WASSCE examinations.”
“The visit provided an opportunity to interact with school authorities, assess the conduct of the examinations, and discuss some of the challenges facing our schools.”
The MP described the commitment shown by candidates, teachers, invigilators, and school management as “encouraging” in ensuring a smooth examination process.
“It was encouraging to witness the level of commitment demonstrated by students, teachers, invigilators, and school management in ensuring a smooth examination process,” she said.
She commended all candidates for their hard work and dedication, wishing them success in their papers.
Hon. Dziwornu said she remains committed to backing initiatives that enhance teaching and learning in the constituency.
“As your Member of Parliament, I remain committed to supporting initiatives that improve educational outcomes and create a conducive learning environment for every child in Akuapem South,” she stated.
