The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has officially handed over sites to contractors for significant renovation works at eight basic schools in the Aayalolo Cluster of Schools, Accra. This initiative is part of the Assembly's 2026 proposed renovation programme aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure and creating a better learning environment. The schools set to benefit from this project include Central Mosque 1 & 2 Primary, Akoto Lante Basic, Amamomo 3 Ashia Mills JHS, and several others within the cluster. During the ceremony, Musah Ziyad, the Presiding Member of AMA, highlighted the long-awaited nature of this intervention, noting the years of limited renovations in the area. He praised Accra's Mayor, Michael Kpakpo Allotey, for prioritizing the project, which is expected to significantly improve learning conditions for students. A contractor representative assured that the renovations would adhere to high standards and utilize quality materials for durability. The renovation works are set to commence immediately, with stakeholders optimistic about the positive transformation of educational delivery in the cluster.
