Former Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North, Hon. Betty Krosbi Mensah, has officially picked nomination forms to contest for National Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking to party delegates and supporters after picking the forms, Mrs Krosbi Mensah said her decision was driven by her belief in the strength and commitment of women in the party.
“I am happy to announce that I have officially picked up my nomination forms to contest for the position of NDC National Women’s Organizer,” she announced.
According to her, the contest is not just about a position but about the future of women in the NDC.
“This journey means a lot to me because I believe in the strength, hard work, and potential of the women who keep our party moving forward. Every woman deserves to be supported, given opportunities, and encouraged to grow into leadership,” she said.
Outlining her vision, the former MP said she wants to transform the Women’s Wing from an election-time mobilization machine into a continuous development platform for women.
“My dream is to see a Women’s Wing where we work together, support one another, and build a strong organization that serves our women beyond election periods. Together, we can move from mobilization to organization, from occasional programmes to continuous development, and from participation to preparing more women to lead,” she noted.
Mrs Krosbi Mensah also pledged to promote unity and build a stronger front for the party.
“I know there is work to be done, and I am ready to listen, learn, serve, and work with our women across every region. I believe that when we empower our women, we strengthen our party and our future. Let us come together to Renew, Reorganize, and Empower! With your support and cooperation, we can build the Women’s Wing we all want to see,” she added.
