The Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi, Yussif Sulemana, has rolled out a GH₵100,000 fund to support pregnant women facing financial hardship.
Sulemana, who also serves as Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, said the initiative is meant to stop situations where expectant mothers skip hospital visits because they cannot afford care. The goal is to boost access to maternal health services across the district.
He also reaffirmed President John Dramani Mahama’s government’s pledge to build a new ultra-modern district hospital for Bole.
During a visit to the Bole District Hospital, the MP and Medical Superintendent Dr. Jonathan toured various departments to assess staff working conditions.
Dr. Jonathan outlined key challenges affecting the facility and thanked the MP for the timely support to both the hospital and needy expectant mothers.
