Bono Regional Communications Officer aspirant Abubakari Yakubu, popularly known as Baba Amando, has outlined a six-point agenda to revamp the party’s communications machinery and help the New Patriotic Party reclaim lost parliamentary seats in the region.
“With divine guidance and your support, I would like to address six critical outstanding issues facing the Bono Regional Communications Directorate,” Yakubu said.
He pledged to push for digital mobilization by ensuring party executives are actively engaged on social media to convey the party’s message. “Leverage mainstream media and information centers within the region for dissemination of information,” he added.
On capacity building, Yakubu promised to “conduct regular workshops with experts to enhance the team’s understanding and communication skills.”
He also committed to recognizing and rewarding “dedicated and hardworking communicators for their contributions.”
For grassroots outreach, he said the directorate would “conduct visits to key locations such as markets, residences, and parks to directly communicate the party’s message.”
Yakubu further stressed the need for a welfare system, calling for “the establishment of a functional welfare system to address the existing welfare issues faced by communicators in the region.”
He also vowed to pursue project accountability by ensuring “all projects initiated by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and subsequently abandoned by the NDC government be brought to light in all 12 constituencies.”
Yakubu appealed for support to build what he called a “robust, effective, and formidable communication network” in Bono.
“This network will enable us to reclaim our lost seats and restore the region to the NPP’s control,” he said.
