Bunso Community Receives Newly Built 2-Unit KG Block With Ancillary Facilities To Boost Early Childhood Education

The community of Bunso in the Lower West Akim Municipality has taken delivery of a newly constructed 1-No. 2-Unit Kindergarten block with ancillary facilities.

The project was officially commissioned by *Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Paulina Akabila*, together with *Eastern Regional Minister Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey*, and *Member of Parliament for Lower West Akim Constituency, Hon. Owen Kwame Frimpong*.

Speaking at the ceremony, the leaders said the facility marks another significant milestone in the Assembly’s drive to improve educational infrastructure in the area.

According to them, the new KG block is expected to provide pupils with a safe, modern, and conducive learning environment, while also easing pressure on existing classrooms.

"This reflects the government and the Assembly’s unwavering commitment to expanding access to quality education and enhancing teaching and learning across schools in the municipality," the officials stated.

Hon. Owen Kwame Frimpong, Hon. Paulina Akabila, and Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey emphasized that investing in early childhood infrastructure remains key to building a strong foundation for education in Lower West Akim.

They assured residents that more projects aimed at improving schools and social services will be rolled out across the municipality.

Parents and teachers in Bunso welcomed the new facility, describing it as a major boost for early childhood education in the community.
