Foreign Affairs Ministry to Replace Flood-Damaged Passports Within a Week

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says it will expedite the replacement of Ghanaian passports that were lost or damaged in this week’s devastating floods across parts of Ghana.

In a press release dated 3rd July, 2026, the Ministry extended sympathies to all affected persons and condolences to families who lost loved ones. It noted that many Ghanaians may have lost or had their passports damaged due to the floods.

The Ministry is asking affected persons to contact *055 936 8563* between *Friday 3rd to Friday 17th July, 2026*.

Callers must provide:

*Name, Date of Birth, and Gender* as contained in the lost or damaged passport

*Phone number* for easy access

The Ministry says it intends to replace all lost and damaged passports *within a week* of application.

It added that it “stands in solidarity with all affected persons” and remains committed to supporting government’s recovery efforts following the floods.
