President John Dramani Mahama has assured investors across the world that Ghana remains open to business with all nations, regardless of their political and economic blocs.
According to him, Ghana's foreign policy of non-alignment continues to shape its international relations, enabling the country to maintain friendly ties with diverse partners while pursuing investments that drive economic growth and mutual benefit.
Speaking at the Financial Times Africa Summit 2026, President Mahama said Ghana is not interested in taking sides in the rivalry among global powers, but is focused on attracting investments that will contribute to national development.
He urged investors from across the globe to see Ghana as a viable destination for their capital, stressing that the country's engagement with international partners is based on shared interests and fair returns.
"We are friends to all and enemies to none. And Ghana's policy of non-alignment has served us well and so we welcome investors from all over the world. It is not about competition. It is about investment and a fair return to everybody, including ourselves.
"And so that is the condition. There is no competition. We are as friendly to America, to EU, to China, and to Russia," he stated.
President Mahama emphasized that what matters to Ghana is not where an investor comes from, but whether the investment can generate fair returns for both the investor and the country.
