Minority Leader *Osahen Alexander Afenyo-Markin* has accused government of failing to deliver on key campaign promises, saying Ghanaians are tired of slogans and want results.
Delivering the Minority’s closing remarks as Parliament rose today, Afenyo-Markin listed several manifesto pledges he said remain unfulfilled.
He questioned the status of the *Women’s Bank*, the promised *end to “family and friends” appointments*, and the pledged *overhaul of the procurement system*. According to him, government contracts are still being awarded to people close to power instead of through proper reform.
The Minority Leader also raised concerns about the *Minister for Public Sector Reforms*, stating her office and work schedule are unknown and she has not been visible since her appointment.
Afenyo-Markin further asked about the *24-hour economy policy*, the *“one job, three shifts” initiative*, and the promised *fee-free first year for university students*. He said one by one, the pledges are either failing or have collapsed.
*“Ghanaians did not vote for slogans. They did not vote for craft incompetence. They voted for delivery,”* he stated.
He added that government owes Ghanaians answers, not another speech.
