“I Don’t Know Why Zanetor Isn’t a Minister Yet” — Justice Atuguba Questions Mahama Appointment

Retired Supreme Court Justice William Atuguba has questioned why the Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has not been appointed a minister in the Mahama administration.

Speaking at a memorial lecture held in honour of the first Speaker of Parliament in the Fourth Republic, Justice D. F. Annan, Justice Atuguba said a woman of Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings’ calibre should already be serving in government.

“I don't know why Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings is not yet a minister,” he said.

He described the MP as a person of “principle, dedication and integrity” who deserves a ministerial role.

The comments have sparked fresh discussion on the composition of President Mahama’s government and the representation of women in key executive positions.
