Tahiru Iddisah Omega has announced his bid to become the National Democratic Congress Communications Officer for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency.
In a statement released on Sunday, August 2, 2026, Mr. Omega said he is running because he believes strong communication is key to organising, mobilising party members, and winning elections.
The NDC member cited over 10 years of party service as the foundation for his candidacy. He said the experience and networks he has built position him to lead the Constituency Communications Bureau effectively.
Since 2022, Mr. Omega has served as Spokesperson to the Bole-Bamboi MP, handling media relations and publicizing the MP’s development projects while defending the party’s positions. He has also been Deputy Constituency Communications Officer since 2019.
His political communication background includes stints as Branch Communications Officer for the Pentecost Branch, TEIN President at Bimbilla College of Education between 2014 and 2015, and as an NDC representative on radio and social media.
Outlining his plans, Mr. Omega said he will build a communication team that is proactive and disciplined. His focus areas include setting the party’s agenda, training communicators, engaging the grassroots, conducting research, and responding quickly to false information.
If elected, he pledged to strengthen communication structures at the branch level and foster unity among all party communicators in Bole-Bamboi.
Mr. Omega is now appealing to delegates and party members for their support and mandate to serve as the next Communications Officer.
He expressed confidence that his track record, dedication, and passion will help strengthen the NDC’s communication machinery ahead of the 2028 general elections and beyond.
