The Member of Parliament for Juaben, Hon Francis Kwabena Owusu-Akyaw Berepong, has inspected the deplorable road linking Abetinem, Nkyeripoaso, Kokodie, Ofoase, Odoyefe and adjoining communities to Kubease in the Juaben Constituency of the Ashanti Region.
The road, which serves as a key link for residents, farmers, traders and schoolchildren, has become almost impassable, particularly during the rainy season, making vehicular movement extremely difficult.
During the inspection, Hon. Owusu-Akyaw also met with traditional leaders and residents of the affected communities to listen to their concerns and discuss practical measures to address the challenge.
The MP assured the chiefs and residents that the contractor will move to site this week to begin reshaping of the road as an immediate intervention to improve accessibility and ease movement, while efforts continue to secure more permanent works.
"The development of our communities remains a priority. I will continue to engage the relevant stakeholders and ensure that the concerns of our people receive the needed attention," he said.
He added that improving roads in the constituency is critical to strengthening connectivity and enhancing livelihoods.
