Member of Parliament for Akuapem South, Hon. Lawrencia Dziwornu, has confirmed that the long-awaited Kitase–Dome Road project has been included in government’s road infrastructure programme, following her intervention in Parliament today.
Hon. Dziwornu, who was attending to urgent official duties in the constituency, tasked her colleague MP, Hon. Jean Marie Formadi, to question the Minister for Roads and Highways on the current status of the project.
“Earlier today, while attending to urgent official duties in the constituency, I requested my colleague MP, Hon. Jean Marie Formadi to ask the Hon. Minister for Roads and Highways about the current status of the Kitase–Dome Road project.”
The MP expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and the Roads Minister for capturing the road under government’s infrastructure plan.
“We are particularly grateful to H.E. President John Dramani Mahama and the Minister for Roads and Highways for including the Kitase–Dome Road in the government's road infrastructure programme,” she said.
Hon. Dziwornu pledged to maintain pressure until the project is delivered. “We will continue to follow up to ensure steady progress and the successful completion of the project.”
The Kitase–Dome Road is a key route linking parts of Akuapem South to Accra, and residents have long called for its rehabilitation to ease transportation and boost local commerce.
