The Member of Parliament for Kumawu Constituency and Chairperson of Parliament’s Human Rights Committee, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, has extended financial support to 60 tertiary students across the constituency.
The beneficiaries, drawn from Nursing Training Colleges, Colleges of Education, and various Universities across the 25 Electoral Areas of Kumawu, received the support last week as part of the MP’s Quarterly Financial Support Programme for tertiary students.
According to Hon. Anim, the latest batch brings the total number of students supported so far this year to 160, with the programme on course to meet its annual target of 200 students.
He said the initiative is aimed at easing the financial burden on students and parents and ensuring that no student in Kumawu is left behind due to financial challenges.
"Education remains my topmost priority, because I believe investing in our youth is investing in the future of Kumawu," the MP stated.
Hon. Anim wished all beneficiaries the best in their academic journey and urged them to stay focused and make the constituency proud.
