Kwabre East MP Celebrates Our Lady of Grace SHS After World Robotics Championship Wins

The Member of Parliament for Kwabre East, *Hon. Akwasi Gyamfi Onyina-Acheampong*, has expressed pride in students of Our Lady of Grace Senior High School, Mampongteng, after they clinched top spots at the World Robotics Championship.

Addressing Parliament today, Hon. Onyina-Acheampong said the students “flew the flag of Ghana so high” after placing *1st in one category, 3rd in another, and 4th in other categories* at the global competition. They competed against schools from *the USA, Hong Kong, China* and other leading nations in technology and robotics.

“It was a proud moment for me as a member of parliament and as a proud constituent of Kwabre East and as a proud Ashanti person and as a proud Ghanaian to see these students from Ghana excel at the world stage. It was fantastic,” the MP stated.

*Students Visit Parliament*

The Lady of Grace SHS team was in Parliament today as part of the annual ‘Students Parliamentarians’ programme. The students observed proceedings and sat in on a committee meeting.

Hon. Onyina-Acheampong said he and colleague MPs took time to engage the students on the work of Parliament — representation, advocacy, and oversight — and urged them to remain disciplined and focused on their studies.

“We took them through the work of parliament... so that as we leave the scene sometime to come, some of them will come and replace us because they were diligent in whatever they are doing,” he added.

*Reward for Excellence*

To encourage the team, the MP presented a *cash donation to the students and their teachers*. He noted that Lady of Grace SHS is rated among the best schools in Kwabre East, and that his support for the school, including books and projects, is ongoing.

“They made Ghana proud. My hope is for the best for them and for them to excel in whatever they are doing,” Hon. Onyina-Acheampong said.
