MP Lawrencia Dziwornu Represents Ghana at UN Human Rights Council Session in Geneva

Member of Parliament for Akuapem South, Hon. Lawrencia Dziwornu, has participated in the 10th Meeting of the 62nd Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva as a member of Parliament’s Human Rights Committee.
The session featured Interactive Dialogues with the Special Rapporteurs on leprosy and human rights, and on climate change and human rights.
Discussions centered on discrimination and inclusion, environmental protection, and the impact of climate change on livelihoods and food security.
Mr. Louis Dunu delivered a statement on behalf of Ghana, aligning with the positions of the Special Rapporteurs. The statement reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to environmental sustainability and the protection of the environment.
Speaking on her participation, Hon. Dziwornu noted that Ghana remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting human rights, advancing environmental sustainability, and strengthening international cooperation to build a more inclusive and safe society.
