MP Urges Contractor to Hire Locally for Market Project

Dr. Ebenezer Prince Arhin, the Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constituency in the Central Region, has called on Brison Construction Company Limited to prioritize local employment during the construction of the Mfantseman 24-hour market project. At the sod-cutting ceremony, Dr. Arhin emphasized the importance of adhering to the local content requirements by hiring artisans and laborers from the constituency. He stated, "This project will help create jobs, and I urge the contractor to ensure that people from Mfantseman are employed for steel bending, masonry, and carpentry works." The MP also mentioned that the Municipal Chief Executive, traditional authorities, and other stakeholders would monitor the project to ensure compliance with local hiring practices. Eric Stanley Essuman, the MCE for Mfantseman, highlighted that the market project reflects the government's commitment to its 24-hour economy policy. The Paramount Chief of the Mankessim Traditional Area, Osaagyefo Amamfo Edu VI, praised the government for delivering on its promises through this initiative. The project is expected to be completed within 36 months, with Brison Construction's Director, Harrison Addo, assuring the public of diligent work to meet the timeline.
