Constituency executives in the Oti Region have declared their firm support for Hon. Sylvester Tetteh's bid to become the next General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The endorsement came when the aspirant, popularly known as the "Wartime General," met with grassroots leaders as part of his "Journey to Rebuild Tour."
According to the executives, their decision is based on competence and the party's urgent need to return to power, not the influence of any political godfather.
"We will not listen to any godfather. We will vote massively for you to become our next General Secretary because it is power we want," the executives stated.
"After listening to you, we see in you a bold, experienced, decisive, courageous, mature and strategic General Secretary who can help rebuild the NPP and position the party to win power again."
The executives vowed to go the extra mile to ensure his victory.
"If we have to pray and fast, we will, to make sure you win," they added.
The strong message from Oti, according to the campaign team, shows that the grassroots are yearning for leadership that is bold, decisive, experienced and strategic to rebuild the party and make it battle-ready for 2028.
Hon. Sylvester Tetteh is contesting to replace the current General Secretary as the NPP embarks on a reorganization drive after the 2024 general elections.
