NPP National Chairman aspirant, Paul Afoko, has commended the party's vetting committee chaired by former Sanitation Minister Cecilia Dapaah for a thorough and professional exercise.
Speaking to journalists after his vetting on Monday, Mr. Afoko described the process as fair, firm and frank, saying the caliber of the committee was high.
According to him, the nature of questions posed by the committee were thought-provoking, with some prompting him to rethink his strategies for leading the party into the 2028 elections.
"The process was really very fair, it was firm and there was a lot of frank discussion. The caliber of the committee is not small. The way they posed certain questions that even I had not anticipated, I am definitely going to include them in my strategy planning for the party going into 2028," he said.
Mr. Afoko, however, declined to disclose details of the questions, citing a confidentiality agreement he signed before the vetting.
"I signed a confidentiality document. I cannot talk about it, especially when it is going to be strategy, when we are going to use that strategy to try to get into power in 2028," he explained.
On his chances, the former National Chairman said he was confident.
"Really good, because I don't think there was anything that I couldn't answer and I had no indication that anybody was dissatisfied with my answers, so my chances I rate them as good," he added.
He said his campaign is going well and he has covered a number of regions, and will continue his tour across the country after the vetting.
