Okere MP Backs Motion to Adopt Report on Ghana–Saudi Arabia Air Service Agreement

Hon. Daniel Nana Addo-Kenneth, Member of Parliament for Okere, has thrown his support behind a motion for the House to adopt the Report of the Committee on Roads and Transportation on the Bilateral Air Service Agreement between Ghana and Saudi Arabia.

Speaking during the debate in Parliament, the Okere MP backed the motion that seeks approval for the BASA between the Government of the Republic of Ghana, represented by the Ministry of Transport, and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, relating to the establishment of air services between the two countries.

The agreement is expected to provide the legal framework for designated airlines from both Ghana and Saudi Arabia to operate commercial air services, which could expand travel, trade, and investment links.

Hon. Addo-Kenneth’s endorsement adds to parliamentary backing for the committee’s report as the House considers steps to formalize air connectivity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
