The Suspended Chief Executive of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Dr. Paa Kwesi Baidoo, has appealed to all staff members to return to duty in the interest of saving lives.
In a letter dated June 8, 2026, Dr. Baidoo thanked staff for their solidarity but said he is deferring all outcomes to the Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, and the KATH Board.
“I need you all to return back to duty in the supreme interest of Ghanaian lives, whilst I defer the outcome and directions to the supreme wisdom of the Hon. Minister of Health... and the Board of KATH,” the letter read.
Dr. Baidoo added that he remains committed to the President’s cause.
The letter comes after KATH doctors walked out of a meeting with the Ashanti Regional Minister, reportedly angered by a statement from the Ministry of Health.
