Trobu MP Mourns Flood Death, Leads Rescue and Relief Efforts in Mile 7 and Ofankor

Hon. Gloria Owusu, Member of Parliament for Trobu Constituency, has led an on-ground assessment of flood-hit areas in Accra following Monday’s heavy rains.

Accompanied by officials from *NADMO and the Ghana Police Service*, Hon. Owusu visited the *Mile 7 Enclave and Ofankor Enclave* to evaluate the damage and coordinate emergency response efforts.

The MP confirmed that *one person lost their life* in the flooding, while *another remains missing*. She said *five individuals, including a baby, were successfully rescued* through the swift intervention of emergency response teams.

“My heartfelt condolences go to the bereaved family, and my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the missing person during this difficult time,” Hon. Owusu said.

She extended sincere appreciation to *NADMO, the Ghana Police Service, and all first responders* for their “dedication, professionalism, and sacrifice” in the rescue operations.

Hon. Owusu assured residents of continued support and said efforts are underway to work with stakeholders to address the *persistent flooding challenges* facing communities in the constituency.
