The Member of Parliament for Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency in the Central Region, Hon. Lawrence Agyinsam, has initiated steps to renovate the Nyamebekyere Basic School after describing its current state as unsuitable for learning.
As part of his commitment to improving the welfare of constituents, the MP visited the Nyamebekyere community to inspect the condition of the local basic school.
According to him, the state of the school infrastructure was deeply concerning and not conducive for children to learn in a safe environment.
"The current condition of the facility is not suitable for our children to learn in a safe and conducive environment. As a representative of the people, I believe that every child deserves a decent place to learn and develop," he said.
Following the inspection, Hon. Agyinsam said he has directed a contractor to immediately gain access to the school and commence the necessary renovation works to restore the facility to an acceptable standard.
He noted that the intervention is part of his continued commitment to improving education, infrastructure, and the general well-being of communities within the constituency.
"We will continue to listen, inspect, act, and deliver. Together, we are working for a better Hemang Lower Denkyira," he added.
