Weija-Gbawe MP To Support Over 1,000 SHS Entrants With 2nd Edition Of Freshers’ Fund

The Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe Constituency, Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib Esq, will on Tuesday, 15th September 2026, hold the 2nd edition of his MP’s Freshers’ Fund at the Weija Astroturf.

The programme, scheduled for 9:00 am, is expected to support over 1,000 Senior High School entrants in the constituency as they prepare to begin their academic journey.

The initiative, according to the MP who is also the 2nd Deputy Minority Whip, forms part of his sustained commitment to promoting education, expanding opportunity, and securing the future of young people in Weija-Gbawe.

This year’s edition builds on the success of last year’s programme. In 2025, Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib donated essential school items to 1,000 students at the Gbawe Cluster of Schools compound.

The items, which included high-density mattresses, trunks, school bags and sanitary pads for girls, were distributed to students within the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and its environs who were preparing for Senior High School.
