Akim Oda MP To Organise Free Liver Cancer Screening For Constituents

Member of Parliament for Akim Oda Constituency, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has announced plans to hold a free liver cancer screening programme for residents of the area.

In a statement on the initiative, the MP noted that liver cancer is one of the deadliest diseases because it often develops silently, with symptoms only appearing at an advanced stage.

“Early screening can save lives through timely detection and treatment,” he said.

According to the flyer released by his office, preparations for the exercise are “far advanced.” The official date and venue will be announced soon.

The free screening will cover *blood pressure checks, BMI, Hepatitis B and C testing, medical consulting, and liver ultrasound*.

Hon. Acquah, who is partnering with the Liver Cancer Foundation and other health institutions, said the programme is part of efforts to improve healthcare access in Akim Oda.

“To my good people of Akim Oda, stay tuned for the official date and venue. Your health remains our priority,” he added.

Constituents have been urged to take advantage of the exercise when it begins.
