Former NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Essikado-Ketan, Charles Cromwell Nanabanyin Onuawonto Bissue, has pledged full compliance with the directive from NPP Headquarters ordering all prospective Parliamentary aspirants and their supporters to cease campaigning.
In a press statement dated Monday, 12th October 2026, Mr. Bissue said he has taken note of the directive with reference NPP/HQ/2026/10/11/PR/GS issued yesterday.
According to him, although many party members in Essikado-Ketan have invited him to commence his campaign, his consistent response has been to wait until the end of the internal elections.
"As a long-standing member of the Party who has held various positions and helped shape its rules, I must lead by example and fully comply," he stated.
Mr. Bissue entreated all his supporters and party members not to post or circulate any material promoting him, adding that they will only resume when the party permits.
He also expressed concern about insults and character attacks among party members on WhatsApp platforms, stressing that he does not believe in the politics of insults.
"I do not believe in the politics of insults; it does not augur well for our Party. I urge all my supporters to desist immediately. Let us compete on ideas, not insults. We may be opponents for a season, but we remain one family," he said.
He noted that only through discipline and unity can the NPP win in 2028.
