Fear Grips Wassa Adansi After Man Allegedly Beheads His Mother

Wassa Adansi, in the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal District, has been left shaken after a young man known locally as Yaw Brako, alias “2Cedis,” allegedly killed his mother by beheading her.

Community members say the suspect attacked his mother in circumstances that remain unclear. The incident reportedly happened in the early hours of the day, leaving residents terrified and deeply distressed.

Eyewitnesses recounted that the town woke up to screams and confusion as word of the act spread quickly. Many rushed to the scene in disbelief, describing it as one of the most disturbing events the community has ever experienced.

While some residents are urging police and health authorities to conduct a thorough investigation, others suspect the young man may have been dealing with mental or emotional problems. Officials have not yet confirmed what led to the alleged killing.

The victim’s body has been taken away for preservation and further examination. The suspect is said to be in police custody and assisting with investigations.
