Interior Minister Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak has urged Muslims in Ghana to use Eid al-Adha to promote unity within their communities and peaceful relations with people of other faiths.
He called on Muslims to pray for the country’s continued peace and stability, noting that a calm environment is critical for national development.
In his Eid message, Alhaji Muntaka encouraged Muslims to avoid conflict, insults, and any actions that go against the true spirit of the celebration.
He also advised young people, especially those in Zongo communities, to be careful when handling animals for sacrifice to prevent accidents during the festivities.
The Minister emphasized the need for proper sanitation during and after the slaughtering of animals to keep communities clean and healthy.
Alhaji Muntaka further asked Ghanaians to be patient and keep President John Dramani Mahama and his administration in prayer as they work to deliver on their promises to the nation.
