Bono Regional NPP Chairman Kwame Baffoe Abronye has accused former MP Kennedy Agyapong of threatening his life and questioned the status of police investigations into the death of journalist Ahmed Suale.
In a statement released this week, Abronye said he will petition the UN Security Council against Agyapong and the Ghana Police in the coming days.

Abronye claimed Agyapong was previously invited, interrogated, cautioned, and granted bail in connection with the death of Ahmed Suale. He noted that the CID boss had stated months ago that investigations were still ongoing.
“A few days later, the police received a pickup vehicle and motorbikes from the same person who had been cautioned and granted bail in the Suale case,” Abronye wrote. He then asked: “Has the investigation been compromised?”
Suale, an investigative journalist with Tiger Eye PI, was murdered in 2019. His pictures had been broadcast on Net2 TV days before his death.
*Alleged On-Air Threat*
Abronye further alleged that Agyapong threatened him on Net2 TV two days ago.
“This same person on Net2 TV threatened my life and went on to say that I would see what would happen to me in the coming days,” he stated.
He criticized the police for what he described as silence on the matter. “Surprisingly, the police have remained silent about it,” Abronye said.
*Questions and Petition*
In his statement, Abronye raised questions about Suale’s killing and his own safety.
“Was it a contract killing? Is he planning to contract people to kill me?” he asked.
He said he will file a petition before the UN Security Council against both Agyapong and the Ghana Police.
Kennedy Agyapong and the Ghana Police Service have not yet publicly responded to Abronye’s latest claims.
