The Member of Parliament for Kumawu and Chairperson of Parliament's Human Rights Committee, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, has reaffirmed the Committee's commitment to supporting the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection in delivering on its mandate.
Hon. Anim participated in a three-day sensitisation workshop on key gender, child protection and social protection frameworks organised by the Ministry last week.
In his address, the Kumawu legislator said the Human Rights Committee is ready to collaborate with other Parliamentary Committees to advocate for increased budgetary support for the Ministry's social protection programmes and other interventions.
He noted that the Committee will continue to work with all stakeholders to strengthen existing frameworks to ensure they translate into meaningful support and protection for vulnerable groups in society.
