The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a new directive regulating the size and display of campaign posters and banners as part of the party's ongoing reorganisation.
In a press release signed by the General Secretary, Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, and dated October 9, 2026, the party said it has observed with concern that some members and aspirants have mounted oversized campaign posters and banners at various locations across the country.
According to the statement, the matter was extensively deliberated at FEC's meeting held on Tuesday, 6th October 2026, mindful of the need to maintain order and discipline and to ensure a level playing field for all aspirants.
"FEC is further conscious that, as the party in government, the NDC must lead by example through modesty and restraint, and must avoid any display of extravagance or perception of it that is inconsistent with the values we espouse and the expectations of the Ghanaian people," the statement said.
Following the deliberations, FEC directed as follows:
*1.* Campaign posters and banners shall not exceed a maximum size of 5ft (width) x 8ft (height).
*2.* Campaign posters and banners shall be displayed only at Constituency Offices, Regional Offices, and election grounds.
The party has given all members and aspirants whose posters or banners do not currently conform to the directive five (5) days, with effect from tomorrow [October 10], to take the necessary steps to comply.
While appreciating the enthusiasm and commitment of members and aspirants, the FEC warned that any wilful disregard of the directive shall attract appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with the Party's Constitution, Electoral Guidelines, and other applicable directives.
