9 BLUE WATER GUARDS ARRESTED AT MANSO ADUBIA FOR ALLEGED BRIBERY AND IMPERSONATION

Nine personnel of the *Blue Water Guard (BWG)* have been arrested by the *National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS)* at *Manso Adubia* in the Ashanti Region.
The guards were picked up for allegedly taking bribes and impersonating NAIMOS operatives.
According to reports, the BWG personnel were engaged in acts that are outside their mandate, posing as NAIMOS officials to extort money.
Management has issued a strong warning to all Blue Water Guards to desist from such misconduct, stressing that *no BWG personnel is authorised to act as a NAIMOS operative*.
It warned that anyone caught in such acts will face the full rigours of the law.
