The Ashanti Regional Police Command says two of the six suspects arrested in its latest operation, together with one other suspect currently on the run, were previously arrested for robbery.
Addressing the press today, the Regional Commander said it is worth noting that Adam Samed alias Toronto and Abdul Shata were previously arrested on 6th December 2025 for conspiracy to commit crime, namely robbery and attempted robbery.
According to him, they were arraigned before the Asokwa Circuit Court 1 where the case is still pending, and were subsequently granted bail by the court.
He said following their release, investigations indicate that some of them allegedly resumed their criminal activities.
Abdul Shata is currently at large and efforts are underway to locate and arrest him, the police said.
