Ghana's national football team, the Black Stars, is intensifying its preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as six additional players joined the training camp in Cardiff on Thursday. The new arrivals—Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Kamal Deen Sulemana, Abdul Mumin, Kwasi Sibo, Jonas Adjetey, and Prince Kwabena Adu—participated in training at Dragon Park, bringing the total number of players in camp to 22. Head coach Carlos Queiroz is focusing on tactical preparations for the upcoming international friendly against Wales on June 2, which serves as a crucial test before the World Cup. The new players enhance the squad's balance, with Ati-Zigi boosting the goalkeeping options and Sulemana, Adu, and Sibo adding depth to the attack and midfield. Meanwhile, several key players, including Thomas Partey and Inaki Williams, are still expected to join the camp. As the team gears up for the tournament, they are drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia, with their first match against Panama scheduled for June 17 in Toronto. The final squad announcement is anticipated on June 1.
