The Heal Komfo Anokye Project (HeKAP) has pushed back on recent publications questioning its governance and accountability, saying the claims do not accurately reflect the facts.
In a holding statement signed by Chairman Samuel Adu-Boakye, HeKAP said it remains committed to its mission of supporting the transformation of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital under the vision of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
HeKAP acknowledged a publication raising concerns about how the project is run, but said it would not respond with piecemeal commentary.
“While certain claims and characterizations contained in the publication do not accurately reflect the facts, we believe it is important to provide a comprehensive and factual response rather than engage in piecemeal commentary,” the statement read.
The project said a full statement addressing the issues will be issued after consultations, once Otumfuo Osei Tutu II returns.
“Accordingly, a detailed statement addressing the matters raised will be issued following the appropriate consultations after the return of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II,” it added.
HeKAP reassured donors, partners, and the public of its dedication to transparency, accountability, professionalism, and service.
“We appreciate the continued support of all who share our vision of improving healthcare infrastructure for the people of Ghana,” Adu-Boakye said.
HeKAP was launched under Otumfuo’s leadership to mobilize resources for the comprehensive renovation of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
