Delivering a message on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, Hon. Ayariga explained that the President could not be present because he was co-leading Ghana’s delegation to the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
He said President Mahama received the news of Tingawura’s passing with shock, describing him as a brother, political comrade, trusted counselor and a deep thinker whose words were always measured and thoughtful.
According to the delegation, his death creates a big vacuum in Gonja land, coming after the loss of other prominent figures from the region.
