Kalilu Dramani Honoured with Statue and Roundabout in Dunkwa-on-Offin

Former Ghana international footballer Kalilu Dramani has been celebrated in his hometown of Dunkwa-on-Offin, Central Region, with the unveiling of a statue and the naming of a roundabout in his honour. This recognition coincides with the fifth anniversary of the Akukudam Club, which aimed to acknowledge Dramani's significant contributions to Ghanaian football. The newly named Kalilu Dramani Roundabout, featuring a prominent statue of the former Black Stars defender, serves as a landmark for both residents and visitors. The unveiling ceremony attracted a large crowd, including local residents, football fans, traditional leaders, and notable figures from the football community, such as former Black Stars players and representatives from Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, where Dramani had successful stints. Ben Kwame Amoonu, Patron of the Akukudam Club, emphasized the importance of celebrating sports heroes while they are alive, ensuring their legacy inspires future generations. Dramani expressed deep gratitude for the honour, encouraging young athletes to remain disciplined and dedicated in their pursuits. Born on October 21, 1972, Dramani's achievements are now permanently recognized in his community.
