The Member of Parliament for Kumawu Constituency, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, says he has successfully completed phase one and phase two of the Street Light Project in the constituency.
Hon. Anim, who also chairs Parliament’s Human Rights Committee, announced the completion as part of efforts to improve security and quality of life for residents.
*Communities Covered*
As part of the initiative, new streetlights have been installed and faulty ones repaired across 11 electoral areas. These include:
Bomeng, Dadease, Akotosu, Kumawu Etia, Kumawu Ahenboboano, Abotanso, Woraso, Aninangya, Nkwanta, Temate, and Besoro.
*Household Support*
In addition to the streetlights, the MP said 250 household bulbs have been distributed to homes in each of the 11 electoral areas. The aim, he noted, is to improve lighting and safety directly in households.
*Commitment To Constituents*
Hon. Anim described the project as a reflection of his commitment to “brighter, safer communities and improving the quality of life for the people of Kumawu.”
The project has been welcomed by residents who say improved lighting will help reduce crime and make movement at night safer.
