The *Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana - PAOG* has distanced itself from *Alhaji Sibamay Zakaria*, popularly known as *Alhaji Papa Angola*, following a viral video of him assaulting a suspect at the Police Headquarters.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, PAOG stated emphatically that Alhaji Papa Angola is *not a member of the Ghana Hajj Board* and *does not represent the Office in any official capacity*.
The disclaimer comes after the video, which showed the man slapping a suspect in police custody, sparked widespread public discussion and raised questions about his affiliation with Hajj authorities.
“Any reports linking him to the Hajj Board are inaccurate,” PAOG said. The statement was signed by the *PAOG Secretariat*.
The Office, based at the Hajj Village at Kotoka International Airport, urged the public to disregard claims associating Alhaji Papa Angola with its operations.
