Tourism Minister Lists Ghana’s 10 Most Visited Attractions in 2025

The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, *Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie*, has released the list of Ghana’s 10 most visited tourist attractions for 2025, saying the sites accounted for 77% of all tourism visits in the country.
Speaking at the *#GovernmentAccountabilitySeries*, the Minister said the top 10 sites recorded a *combined total of 1,377,588 visitors* last year.
According to her, the breakdown of the most visited attractions is as follows:
1. *Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park*
2. *Kakum National Park*
3. *Bonsu Arboretum / Eco Park*
4. *Cape Coast Castle*
5. *Manhyia Palace*
6. *Kumasi Zoo*
7. *Accra Zoo*
8. *Elmina Castle*
9. *Shai Hills Resource Reserve*
10. *Aburi Botanical Gardens*
Hon. Gomashie said the figures show strong domestic and international interest in Ghana’s heritage, wildlife and eco-tourism sites. She noted that the Ministry is working with site managers and local authorities to improve infrastructure, security and visitor experience at these locations to sustain growth in the sector.
The Minister added that the data will guide government investment and marketing efforts to ensure that revenue from tourism translates into jobs and development for host communities.
