Government Grants Reprieve To Adamus Resources Limited

Government has granted a reprieve to Adamus Resources Limited following a meeting at the Presidency aimed at resolving the dispute between the company and the state.

According to a statement from Presidency Communications dated Friday, August 21, 2026, and signed by Spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, MP, the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, the Minerals Commission and Adamus Resources have been directed to present a twelve-month road map for turning the mine around.

*Key Details of the Agreement:*

1. Joint Management Team: The road map will include a six-member management team to supervise the turnaround of the mine. Three members will be from Adamus and three from the Government side.

2. Purpose: The intervention is to salvage what is described as one of a few operating indigenous large scale mines in Ghana.

3. Settlement of Liabilities: The road map will include a plan for settling liabilities owed by Adamus to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF), financial institutions and suppliers.

4. Fresh Capital Injection: The plan will also explore means to inject fresh capital by inviting additional partners to take up equity in the mining operation.

The two sides are expected to present the road map to the Presidency within two weeks.
