Popular Polo Beach Club Demolished At La

The popular entertainment hub, Polo Beach Club, located near the Labadi Beach Resort in Accra, has been pulled down.
The demolition is part of an ongoing clearance exercise at the La Beach enclave to remove structures from the area.
The exercise is being carried out by a joint team of personnel from the 48 Engineer Regiment of the Ghana Armed Forces and the Ghana Police Service.
The operation comes after an earlier demolition in the area met resistance from some residents and owners of affected structures.
With heavy security presence in the area, authorities have continued with the operation, targeting several structures earmarked for demolition.
